Lucid IS Ltd needed to upgrade from Microsoft Small Business Server 2011: their business had grown and they needed a reliable IT infrastructure that allowed their staff to work from anywhere in the world. Although Office 365 is the standard upgrade path from SBS, their data compliance needs rendered it unsuitable in this case. We migrated them to a hybrid cloud setup with pairs of Windows 2012 and Exchange 2013 Servers, providing the performance and reliability they need.

H Goldie were moving to smaller offices, with more staff working remotely and from abroad, so we decommissioned their SBS server and migrated them to Office 365. Their email and current data are all on Office 365, but we also installed a small storage server appliance in their office for their bulk archive data (which is also backed up to the cloud) and local network services. They also have a help4IT “Cloud PBX” telephone system which gives all of their users a UK office extension wherever they are working from.

Another client spends a lot of time travelling and primarily employs consultants who work remotely. His previous IT provider had set him up with a server in his office but he often had problems connecting to it and was concerned that his data was secure. Office 365 was not an option for compliance reasons so we migrated him to a help4IT private cloud server which runs his own Exchange Server and file sharing.
