Microsoft Exchange Specialists

Microsoft Exchange email servers have underpinned the world’s everyday business communication for over 25 years on physical hardware and more than 15 years in the cloud.

Microsoft Exchange Online provides secure email, contact management, calendar and task list services for your workforce, across as many domains as you need, with integrated spam and malware filtering, a minimum 50GB of mailbox storage for each user, auto-archiving, POP3, IMAP, SMTP, webmail, and dedicated apps for a wide range of popular computer and mobile platforms.

Exchange Online integrates seamlessly with other Microsoft services, allowing users to create and join Microsoft Teams meetings from Exchange and, for accounts with Unified Messaging, receive voicemail messages directly into their inbox. At help4IT, we have provided Microsoft Exchange support to our clients for over 15 years. We are Microsoft Exchange specialists, so when you contact us with an Exchange related issue, you can rest assured you will be dealing with an expert.

Secure and reliable enterprise email

Exchange Online is a massively flexible solution, providing all of the features of a self-hosted Exchange server, with the reliability, security and easy management interface of Microsoft 365’s online service. Microsoft’s Service Level Agreement (SLA) guarantees compensatory service credits if uptime drops below 99.9% across your user base.

Exchange Online can be fully integrated with both online and on-premises Active Directory for Single-Sign On (SSO) support and group policy management across your business network.

It has best-in-class security features, such as passwordless multifactor authentication methods including physical OATH tokens and the Microsoft Authenticator app. You can roll out dedicated mobile device policies via ActiveSync, Intune, or Mobile Device Management for Office 365, with support for locating and remotely wiping lost or stolen hardware.

Office 365 Message Encryption (OME) allows your business to take full control of the generation and management of keys for end-to-end message encryption. And Exchange Online Protection actively monitors for and quarantines potential threats including malware, phishing and inbox-cluttering spam.

Other features include highly configurable content filtering that can help ensure regulatory compliance, message tracing and near-instant threat reporting, mail protection reports via the Microsoft 365 Defender portal, and investigation tools that allow your administrators to analyse threats before they get anywhere near your staff’s inboxes.

Sophisticated administration

For administration, the Exchange Admin Center (EAC) provides an unrivalled range of tools in a unified management console that can serve as an interface to fully online, hybrid and on-premises deployments. Meanwhile, Exchange Online Powershell provides a powerful, scriptable command-line administration interface for automated processes and admin-level power users.

The admin interface provides a personalised dashboard and insights, so you can customise its card-based display to highlight the issues you want to monitor, from inbound and outbound traffic to auto-forwarding stats and non-delivery reports.

Dedicated interface tabs allow you to configure administrator roles, monitor mail flow and apply rules to optimise it, administer and edit the recipients of personal and shared mailboxes, drill down into detailed reports and insights, and more.

Transport rules for Exchange Online’s mail flow are hugely customisable and critical to the smooth operation of a large-scale enterprise email system. Features include custom connectors to allow devices such as network scanners to email your staff or allow the smooth flow of communications between online and on-premises mailboxes.

Exchange Online supports the latest iterations of SPF, DKIM and DMARC authentication to help prevent address spoofing and prove that your emails really come from you, deployed via your Microsoft 365 Defender portal and DNS records.

Migrate to Microsoft Exchange Online

Stand-alone Exchange Online plans are available from £3.00 per user, per month or as part of a full Microsoft 365 Business subscription, with a wide range of subscription tiers available to suit the size and requirements of your business. Security provisions are second to none, and capital expenditure on hardware deployment is replaced by the flexibility of per-seat billing for user licenses.

There’s a comprehensive and mature pathway for migrating users or entire workgroups from an on-premises Exchange Server to to Exchange Online, using MRSProxy managed via the Exchange Admin Center. It’s also possible to migrate in the other direction, from Online to a local Exchange Server, should you ever need to.

But you can also migrate from other services, including Google Workspaces and IMAP mail boxes, and we’ll be on hand to provide whatever expertise and assistance your company needs.
