Base: help4IT offices (London SE1) & externally attending new business meetings at potential client offices (mostly within M25)

SUMMARY OF ROLE

  • To locate, develop & close new business opportunities for B2B recurring revenue IT support & related services
  • To do so via a combination of cold-calling, client meetings, professional referral relationships & any other appropriate methods as agreed with management
  • To do so with a minimum of supervision (although obviously all necessary support will be given where needed)
  • To take ownership (with support where required) of the entire sales cycle, including client presentations, solution scoping, proposal creation & commercial negotiation
  • To achieve agreed KPIs including revenue targets
  • To ideally look to build a team over the next 12 months & move into a ‘Player-Manager’ Head of Sales role

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Minimum 2 years B2B sales experience

ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES

Communication

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent rapport-building skills
  • Adaptable communication style according to each client
  • Ability to engage effectively with potential clients via telephone, email, social media & in person
  • Willingness to develop strong, co-operative inter-departmental relationships within help4IT

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of IT support, cloud, network infrastructure, hosting, virtualisation and related technologies
  • Understanding of SLAs and the commercial application of the above technology solutions and services
  • Experience of working with CRM systems

Commercial Aptitude

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs, including financial targets
  • Ability to generate & nurture own leads from cold-calling through to completion
  • Ability to create compelling sales proposals
  • Ability to create, develop, manage and maintain professional referral network for lead generation

  • Knowledge of Linux technologies and experience of working with open-source technologies in general
  • Knowledge of commercial telecoms solutions including VoIP, connectivity, MPLS, Unified Communications
  • Driving licence & car
  • Existing referral network for lead generation
  • Existing pipeline of opportunities
  • Strong professional social media presence (especially LinkedIn)
