At help4IT we are fully committed to an ethos of promoting and supporting the next generation. We have seen first hand how encouraging young people helps to create opportunities for the future and a better, broader world. Within our own business this is something that has become crucial to our strategy. In fact, we have an internal training programme for junior technicians with little or no experience who we have turned into well paid dynamic IT professionals. So, the next generation is important to us, which is why we are proud to be supporting Crown Global and the Teenage Cancer Trust, two charities that are dedicated to transforming lives across all walks of life.
How do we support?
You may have noticed that back in December we held a Christmas raffle and we asked for your help in choosing the causes to support. Crown Global and the Teenage Cancer Trust were the two charities that we decided to get behind, given the overwhelming feedback from our clients and customers.
The Teenage Cancer Trust
Founded in 1990, the Teenage Cancer Trust is an incredible organisation that is focused on improving the cancer experience of young people with the disease between the ages of 13 and 24. The charity has been built on the foundation that young people need specialist expert care and support during such a tough and challenging time and is well known for the specialist teenage units that it has built in NHS hospitals across the country. Around seven young people between 13 and 24 are diagnosed with cancer in the UK each day. Every £1 donated to the organisation generates 81p for children with cancer and this is spent in a wide variety of different ways, including specialist nurses and treatment units. The Teenage Cancer Trust raises tens of millions every year to invest in helping young people with cancer and we were proud to be a part of this figure in 2017.
Crown Global is a Christian charity that seeks to support and strengthen future leaders across the world. Its vision is to transform lives, empower leaders and support communities, helping to create opportunities for everyone, no matter what background they might be from. So far the charity has worked in multiple locations overseas, including in Kenya, Rwanda, India, Burundi, the USA and the UK.
We are proud to have been able to support these two fantastic charities and to help to contribute to the vision that they both have for transforming the lives of those who need assistance at what is often a critical time. With the donations we raised via our Christmas competition we have all been able to make a difference. The ethos that both these organisations have is aligned clearly with our own approach to promote and support the next generation. We look forward to being able to do more to make a difference in 2018.
