help4IT was founded by a team of IT professionals, each with over 18 years’ IT experience. We pride ourselves in providing customers with the highest level of technical skill and customer service. Advances in technology have enabled us to provide more sophisticated services, aimed specifically towards driving down the cost while increasing internal efficiencies.
With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, Mel brings a broad range of skills and extensive knowledge of the IT industry to the help4IT team. Mel’s a real team player and inspires those around him with a truly ferocious work ethic. On the rare occasions when he’s not at the office, Mel likes to hack his way around the local golf course.
Technical Operations Manager
Tom’s been working in IT support since 1993 and has seen a lot of changes in his time. His experience has been a key factor in developing help4IT’s ‘total IT support’ ethos and our helpdesk procedures. In his spare time, Tom likes to keep himself away from technology, playing in live poker tournaments and doing quizzes – his team came sixth in the 2015 National Pub Quiz league final! Tom keeps threatening to renew his hang-glider pilot’s licence one of these days but he’s probably more likely to just get a dog for the exercise.
New Business Development
Richard has joined the help4it team as our new business development manager. He has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry with an ever growing personal contact network. Richard holds a season ticket for a North London, premiership football team which currently brings him little enjoyment! He is heavily addicted to buying vinyl and adding it to his record collection, which he’s been building since he was a young boy.
Senior Linux Engineer
Besides being our senior Linux expert, he also specialises in IP telephony, virtualisation, multi-OS environments and networking. So, whether it’s troubleshooting a Linux system, configuring Teams PBX or implementing a cloud storage solution, Andy and his team can help you. When he’s not at work, Andy’s an accomplished IT journalist who contributes regularly to publications such as ITpro.co.uk and Cloudpro.co.uk.
Thiago has been with help4IT since the summer of 2018, having previously worked for a large ISP in his native Brazil. Originally a networking specialist he has expanded his skillset since joining help4IT, and is now also an expert on managed WiFi systems and SharePoint cloud deployments. Thiago rides his bicycle to work whatever the weather and at weekends goes on trips to visit historic palaces and castles around the UK. He also loves the summer and visiting beaches.
He’s a trouble-shooter and problem solver whose main responsibilities are client management and third party relationships. Mustafa’s been in the IT industry since 1994 and his experience in both technical and sales roles give him an excellent perspective on the issues our customers face. Mustafa’s a keen amateur photographer and a bit of a history buff.
Dan has worked in Web Development for over 20 years with a vast experience in all web related topics. Dan specialises in front end design and back end WordPress builds, but is fluent in a host of key languages, including Java and Python. Usually to be found on Github.
Sharmarke joined the help4IT helpdesk team in 2020, having already spent over three years working on other IT service desks. His main technology focus is on the Microsoft 365/Azure platform, along with end user support for Windows 10 & 11.
A new addition to the team and a member of the helpdesk, Marcus is on the front line of service dealing with customer queries and support tickets. It is his personal aim to continually develop his knowledge base to provide the best user experience for clients when supporting operations, troubleshooting issues and carrying out scheduled maintenance. Marcus is also a proud father and is considered a loyal and dependable friend amongst his peers and is a fanatic when it comes to Japanese animation.
IT Support Technician
Abduvali is an IT Support Technician in the most literal sense, amongst his key skills is the ability to help customers identify their IT problems and resolve them, whether it is a simple hardware issue or a more complex project that is required. His positive and upbeat approach to dealing with issues is a great benefit when it comes to providing the level of service that help4IT customers have learnt to expect from our Helpdesk. He is also keen to expand his skillset, when he isn’t spending time with his young family outside of work then he will often be working on new projects and training to increase his IT knowledge..
Richard is the leader of our infrastructure team, dealing with all the types of network, wiring and electrical issues. He’s at the forefront of out IT relocation services and has been in the cabling industry for over 20 years. Famous around the office for his ‘can do’ attitude. When he’s not busy installing infrastructure cabling, Richard is probably watching Chelsea FC and is a regular at ‘The Bridge’ on any given match day.
As a member of the helpdesk, Darren is on the front line, answering queries from the wide range of customers that help4IT supports. He takes great pride in his work, ensuring each customer’s problem is resolved to the highest standard. He is known within the company for his thorough documentation. He has been awarded CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications in recognition for his hard work in expanding his IT knowledge and capabilities. He will start studying for the CompTIA Security+ exam shortly.
